The Rhetoric Department is a leading center for research in both the theoretical and cultural study of sexuality and gender.		  
Our faculty work in diverse areas of study that include gender theory, feminist philosophy, psychoanalysis, political theory, and queer studies, as well as media studies, pornography, and the history of sexuality (ancient and modern).
