Congratulations to Evyn Lê Espiritu!

Evyn Lê Espiritu has recently been appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Asian American Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.  She received a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and a Designated Emphasis in Critical Theory from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018.  Her dissertation, Archipelago of Resettlement: Vietnamese Refugee Settlers in Guam and Israel-Palestine, put critical refugee studies in conversation with settler colonial studies in order theorize what she calls the “refugee settler condition.”  Previously she served as the inaugural Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow of Asian American and Asian Diaspora Studies in the Asian Studies Program at College of the Holy Cross.
