Interested in learning the ins-and-outs of a world class literary festival? Intern with the Bay Area Book Festival for academic credit! The festival, which will take place May 2-3 in downtown Berkeley, is now accepting interns to receive course credit through Rhetoric 197 enrollment. The internship is an excellent opportunity for students to learn what is required to produce a major literary event — the weekend festival presents hundreds of leading authors from the U.S. and around the world in keynotes and panels, and hosts a vibrant outdoor fair featuring literary exhibitors like publishers, bookstores, and journals.
Festival interns will choose one of six tracks: Community Engagement, Volunteer Management, Festival Production, Literary Curation, Development, or Communications. To learn more about the internship program — including how to apply — visit baybookfest.org/
