On November 12 from 5-6pm former UC Berkeley student and Rhetoric department alumni Larry S. McGrath will be giving a Zoom talk about his professional experience after graduation as well as any advice he has on how a Rhetoric degree can aid you in your pursuit of professional life. After many years in academia, including a PhD in Intellectual History 2014, Larry’s interests shifted and he now works at Facebook as a researcher. His new book, Making Spirits Matter: Neurology, Psychology, and Selfhood in Modern France, is now widely available wherever you get your books.
