Congratulations to the Rhetoric Graduate Students on their many accomplishments!

As we take stock of the year just completed, let’s please take a moment to celebrate these recent career achievements by graduate students in Rhetoric:

Megan Alvarado Saggese and Ryan Rhadigan each have an appointment as Assistant Professor of Native American and Indigenous Studies at Ft Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.

Joel AuerbachNicholas Byers, and Robin Manley each hold the Daniel E. Koshland Jr Fellowship in the Art of Teaching Writing for Art of Writing’s 2022 Summer Writing Institute at UC Berkeley.

Katie Brown and Kyra Sutton chosen for the UC Berkeley Graduate Division’s 2022 Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award.

Marcos Cisneros, who was awarded The Social Science Research Council’s 2022 International Dissertation Research Fellowship.

Richard Grijalva is one of 40 recent PhDs selected as ACLS Emerging Voices Fellows of 2022-24.

Yael Hacohen was awarded a teaching/research fellowship with Tel Aviv University and Bar Ilan University.

Linda Kinstler is one of 22 PhD candidates awarded the 2022 Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship by The Institute for Citizens & Scholars.  

Linda also received the Phi Beta Kappa Society’s Judith & William Hardardt Scholarship in the Liberal Arts.

Bruno Anaya Ortiz received a UC Berkeley Graduate Division Summer 2022 Dissertation Writing Grant for Arts & Humanities.
